Does the tail panel itself have flattened indentations for the brackets that the tail panels of the cars minus the brackets don't have? Different stamping for the tail panel? Deemed unnecessary by the bean counters? How would fabbing up a new stamping to eliminate three little brackets save money?
Apparently it must have been. Do any of you guys have a B body that was built without the driprail chrome? I've never noticed it missing from any b body I ever looked at. BUT this car must not have had it, check out attached pics of turn down at top of WS post, one car with driprail chrome...
No, was it optional? Not sure I ever seen one without it. Not really any other mickey mouse "custom" touches. Don't understand why anyone would do it. I most likely will remove it and put the stainless driprail trim on. Just curious about it. Thanks for the insights. jess in ky
It is for sure, but it's a very precise addition, and both doors are rolled back to barely clear them. Makes no sense at all. Seems like a lot of trouble, for what?
Any of you guys ever see a driprail on a 69 b body extend down the front windshield post all the way under the door? I've looked, without success, for another or at least a reason, but... Why in He%# would anyone go to the trouble to do this?
Anyone have success replacing the hood skin on a 69 Coronet N96 hood? Got pics of the process? Also, I would like to paint it black?!?! Issues?
TIA Jess in ky
Hello all:
I have a 69 post Bee that I bought a few years ago that has the front drip rail extending down the A pillar all the way under the door! I have yet to see this on any other coronet/bee. Is this something someone done in the past or what (and why?).
