You need a flat washer or the correct concave washer on your top PS pump adjustment bolt. Otherwise the hex on the bolt will dig into the sides of the adjustment slot possibly spreading it apart.
The lower gears will fit in the housing, might have to do some grinding, The carrier breaks are: 2.24 and 2.45 only, and 2.71 and up. I believe there is a 8.25 thread over on FABO, has all of the info you should need.
The 999 behind the 360 2 barrel started in 1974, non lockup till 1978. In 1978 both non LU and LU were available. That 2.74 low gear set didn't come out till the 80's sometime when they started putting 2.45 and 2.24 rear gears in the cars, and I don't know about pickups and vans. So all 999's...

Yes, I would imagine that's the same stuff. Although the earlier stuff came in quart cans that you opened with a push in oil spout or a can opener. And I'm sure the part number was an earlier number.
Don't know about the pressure plate. But the clutch disc appears to be a Scheifer, they painted their stuff that bright rich yellow. They were good stuff, they went out of business in the mid 70's-the owner died. I have the Scheifer part numbers-so if you can find a number anywhere on the disc...
When my brother bought his new 1970 GTX in 1969, he took it in to the dealer for oil changes for awhile. They always used 1 quart of Mopar engine oil suppliment with the oil. Any of you old timers remember that stuff? I have a can of it somewhere. It said something on the label about...
