I see a lot of non factory stuff. Steering shaft, roll cage, master cylinder, relay on firewall. Has race car written all over it.
On the valve under the dash is that a push button on it? Manual line lock?
I have a simular cam, 282/480 in my 360 and I have real good power brakes. I think you have something else going on such as a weak booster or vacuum leak.
I like the pin type better. The slider ones use an anti-chatter rubber band between the caliper and the bracket that usually doesn't last long. Pretty much all of the later model cars use the pin type now days.
