I hit one back in November with a rent a wreck. I am on a project in Alberta, so I was glad it was the rental and not my own vehicle. When I filled out the "report" at the local RCMP station, I answered one question in particular "correctly" I thought. The question was " Was this a hit and...
Sahara,
Being a fellow Canadian i understand your "Green Patch" boot issue well. However, be advised that there are quite a few manufacturer's that offer "composite" instead of "steel". These are much lighter, more flexible and "Green Patch". i have been wearing them for years.
What's old is new again.
Picked up a new rental at my jobsite, 2023 Chebby Tahoe. Amazed at the shifter from an early 60's Mopar. Kept pushing the buttons Mopar style but couldn't make it go, doh! You pull out the D and R. The rest push in, just like a vintage Mopar. I do like this better than...

A note on repairing the grounds, I prefer to use Nolox on the terminals as opposed to die-electric grease. Helps prevent dissimilar metal corrossion and enhances continuity.
Wayne, you are in the right track chasing bad grounds. I fought a very similar issue with a Jeep Liberty CRD a couple years back. After all of the ground were fixed, still intermittent problem. Turned out in the end it was bad contacts in the main power relay to the ECM. I had been checking for...
Back when I was 17, so circa 1977, there was a 7 Liter convertible version on the used car lot of the local Ford dealer in SW Ontario. It was that light pastel green colour with green interior. I should have bought it as I recognized it as being somewhat significant even back then. But I was a...
My '69 Charger R/T Hemi 4 Spd car is not a million bucks, but it is numbers matching and has been mine for over 40 years now. Absolutely I drive it as often as I can. I have even raced it at a couple of IHRA National events (I drove it to the track), just to be part of the show.
