Has anyone had success with "spray can chrome"?
The cap on the cans look perfect, but the parts come out looking like grey paint.
Maybe good looking chrome is not possible from a can..Melowto (or something like that) makes a marker that is good, but broad surfaces are a challenge.
Thanks all!
Lots of opinions on this...I was really expecting someone to say "change the intake".
I remember thinking that "what I have was WILD", when I was young...but I also preferred Maryann over Ginger then also.
Are there any final conclusions?
I can put anything together, but the fine tuning is best left to someone other than me. I've had others work on it , with some measure of success. I still feel that there's something more (or something not right). I have a 66 Barracuda with a 273 that would leave the Coronet in the dust.
The...
Hi Guys;
I've had my Coronet complete now for 4 years. Thank you to all the help along the way.
I'm back to the well again.
My mission was to make the car just as it rolled off the assembly line, a 1 of 373 cars made, sporting the 500 package, big block, factory 4 speed. The engine is the...
I set out to buy an American generator.
Certainly, not one made in China!
I was saddened to find that they ALL have, at very least, parts from China...if not made there...even Honda.
On the advise of a friend, I ended up buying the Predator 9000.
I am happy with it, but if you buy it, I...
I bet that your 68 would fit.
Absent of a new tank supplier, I'll pressure wash mine and wait out a good idea.
I did consider cutting a new Chevy tank, into my Dodge tank. Just need to line-up the fill port
But thank you for the help
I know that I'm not in the "correct" spot for this post, but...
For my latest Dodge project:
I'm looking for a new fuel tank for my "62" Dodge D100 pickup. I believe 61-65...maybe even all the way up to 69, would fit.
The existing tank is rusty, maybe too rusty to save, certainly too rusty to...
I don't know if anyone actually ever completes a restoration, seems that there is always something that can be improved...or that I just don't like.
This is the same car I've asked for help with for the last 6 years.
The original fuel tank was questionable, so I opted to replace it ( probably...
Just a follow-up
I got my copy of the original build card from Danielle yesterday. She was great! It's not a "build sheet", but it's probably as close as I'll ever get.
It was photocopied from micro-film many years ago, so it's not exactly clear, but I was already able to learn something that...
I'm thinking about contacting Chrysler for anything that they could have on my 66 Coronet 500. Where it was shipped to and possibly a "build sheet". I think a snowball in hell might have a better chance, but every year that goes by, the possibility must be diminishing.
Has anyone had luck...
I recently changer the original 2bbl carb and manifold from my 66 Coronet 500 361ci. I picked up a year correct Mopar 4bbl manifold and chose the Edelbrock 1406 to pair with it.
Definitely an improvement. The original 2bbl just didn't have enough "***", I'm not sure if the original carb (Carter...
