    That choke plate seemed to slam shut pretty hard. Maybe take just a little tension off the thermostatic spring. I would also say those 4 pumps had it heading to flooded.

    Trickle some water down the carb,while revving it up(carbon buildup?) ; don’t drown out the engine. Hydraulic buildup is nasty!!

    1157's are a tad brighter and listed as heavy duty. Been that way for 50yrs. If anyone gets their hands on a WWGrainger catalog, they used to list all bulbs with specs.

    Have an ohmmeter? Unhook battery and check every wire from one end to the other for continuity. You could have a broken wire somewhere.

    Off the top,, bad battery(I know-1yr). Bad ground, bad batt.cable. Just start from batt. and work your way back, connection to connection.

    You're correct, but only short term. Should be closer to 14v anytime above idle. There's also the load from blower fan,lights,etc.

    You might also have a failed diode in the alternator. 12.7V at idle or revved up? At idle sounds low.
