I believe the shroud attachment for that radiator uses brackets that attach to those holes in the side, neither the brackets or shroud for that are what you would call cheap but would look factory stock. Example;

You might consider an aluminum replacement radiator from an online sales source. Griffen, Cold Case, Wizard cooling, Champion Radiator, etc. Just be sure of hose sizes and desired locations.
Yeah they all used to come with the anti collapsing springs but you rarely seem them in the hoses sold today. Watching the lower hose while revving the engine should rule that possibility in or out.
