    Custom Sized Fiberglass Hood Scoop

This is what I think it is. Measurements are closest I can find. I bought it on eBay 12 years ago and of course can’t find any emails about it. Scoop, Barracuda/Dart, 1967-1976, Hemi – AAR Quality Fiberglass

    Custom Sized Fiberglass Hood Scoop

Awesome. Yea. That looks very close to what I had. It’s just the dimensions that are screwie to me.

    Custom Sized Fiberglass Hood Scoop

So, I had my hood modified to accept a scoop of what seems to be odd dimensions. The bolt holes are 30” on center at the front and 24” on center at the rear. It’s roughly 24-26” front to back. Long story short. I bought a scoop when I started the project years ago. Through a variety of house...

Broken studs on rubber bumperettes, '69 RR; what can be done?

Easy (or not so) easy outs...not sure I know exactly what they look like though. Or, if there is room, you can weld a nut onto the end and crank on that.

Found a local chrome shop that fully supports Vets

Yeah, they'll give a no commitment estimate and STILL cover shipping both ways. Totally stand-up.

Found a local chrome shop that fully supports Vets

Talked to them yesterday. They are very reasonable and the shipping both ways, even if you don't use them is a hell of a deal. They told me it was $355, but that was using my core. So, if you don't have a bumper it will probably be more--if they can even do it.

Rust removal help - 73 charger

I'd go the encapsulator route...or, try a spot blaster.

    Stopping rust inside body panels?

I haven't done anything inside the body panels, but Eastwood has an anti-rust product for chassis rails that would work. It's not a paint, it's sort of like a wax type product. It has a long tube sprayer that you just lay in the chassis rail and then drag down. I'd imagine you could use it...

    Cleaning Undercarriage for Paint?

Yeah. I think acid dipping is out of my budget and I am not planning to have the car blasted. This is one of those jobs that I'd rather spend a couple of hundred dollars and have someone else do it. I really have ZERO desire to do it myself. I think I'll cover it in engine degreaser, trailer it...

    Cleaning Undercarriage for Paint?

Does anyone have any tips for cleaning a grime ridden undercarriage to get it ready for paint? I was contemplating either having it steam cleaned before taking it to the painter or trying some Easy Off (the crap that you use to clean a stove) and a pressure washer? I am looking for the...
