And it might not work at all without a tach signal modification. I would call Holley for their advice if for sure you have it wired correctly. Many systems that are digital do not like the analog systems.
It is going to require a lot of additional parts depending on what is coming out of the motor home. You for sure will need a car oil pan, pickup, manifolds, dipstick and tube, motor mounts,. Might also need everything on the front side of the motor , wp housing and pump, all pulleys and...
Did he rework the tachometer? If so they often install newer updated internals that do not need an adapter. I had a 68-70 Charger one done and they used VDO components. Either way he might be able to advise you if you ask him.
Like I said get the car up and running without the factory tachometer. Then figure out what the tach needs. It will be drien off the efi module. You will most likely need a driver/tach adapter for it to work. There is a guy here that works on these dashes and he might be able to tell you if the...
I have answered your questions. There are variants on how you have it set up for timing control. The factory tach and gauges have nothing to do with the efi system. As said your only concern is the tach which is driven off the EFI module not the coil.
I would be more concerned about getting it running and tuned with the system you have. Then deal with the possibility of the tachometer working or not.
It should be no different than any other system. The tachometer will be driven off the Sniper Efi driver. Your tachometer may or may not work. Lots of older tachometers may require a driver for the tachometer.
Stock wires stay with the basic Sniper system. Unless you are running a ignition system like MSD. What is this ignition box you are saying you are using?
They have conflicting information. On page 7 of the instructions they clearly say discard OEM panel. I think the instructions are wrong and you have to modify the OEM panel. https://www.vintageair.com/instructions_pdf/571066.pdf
Well if you read the current non-a/c instructions it says to discard the controls.
Perform the Following:
Figure 3
Remove glove box (discard, but retain OEM screws).
Disconnect all wires and cables from OEM control panel (discard).
Remove OEM control panel assembly (discard).
Remove OEM duct...
No mater what system there still should be 4 wires on the car feeding the motor. Just different functions on what motor system you have. Single speed or variable.
