It is the lifters they are poor quality. My engine builder will not even warrantee a flat tappet cam build. This has become very common as flat tappet. Cam’s are not in high demand. Therefore quality manufactures no longer build lifters. An Internet search will confirm as well as YouTube search.

does anyone know what the casting letter indicates on the 906 heads? The letter I’m referring to is on the chamber side of the head at intake parts. I have one set with F and one set with R.

Any opinions on a 60 over 1968 440 with a 10/10 crank? It has been line honed also. All work done by a quality machinist. Will there be any heating issues or weakness introduced being 60 over?
