I have installed a March pulley setup and they furnished a PRW aluminum water pump. There are two small NPT ports. This is on a 440 Big Block. Both ports are 3/4" NPT. One is closer to the thermostat housing and the other further away. I also have installed a Classic Air AC system. It has an...
I had talked to Rick, but he wanted me to tell him the lengths I wanted. I didn't have any way to get a length until the wire was on the engine. 1/2" wrong measurement and the wire was wrong. Crimper from Summit made the end crimp perfectly. What I did was not cost effective, but I wanted a set...
Forgot to tell you-- R&M aluminum holders. Re-bend mounting ears to change holding angle. Made my own aluminum spacers (3 inch long). Did not have much faith in the plastic ones in the R&M kit. Longer SHCS and Hi Temp covering from Mcmaster Carr.
Hope this helps.

I studied for two years looking at pics, and car shows. I probably have 24 man hours in this install. TTI 2 inch headers. Used Accel Ceramic, ordered two sets of wires 135 and 90 degree, with only the spark plug ends on them. Got a set of good crimpers and did each wire individually. Also had to...
the original panel on my 68 Roadrunner used shaped head ( like carrage bolts) aluminum machine screws, they were 10/24. the new finish panel use a machine screw with an attached slide on clip also a 10/24 nut.

is it really coal slag, or is it crushed coal? You can get the crushed coal at Tractor Supply. it works as a good blast media, but it is sharp as a razor when blasting. I have used it on some old cast iron painted pieces, but never on a car! better have a full suit on to use it as it will cut as...
i don't know about the Hughes TC, but the 727 has no hydraulic circuitry to activate the lock up feature. the 4l60E (not mopar) in my 68 RR has a lockup converter, but has the computer control to activate the little piston that locks up the clutch IN the torque converter.
just my 2 cents

thanks for the compliment. I have just taken off about 500 in my life. tomorrow I will take a thread gauge and check my 68 RR column as it is in the floor.

guys, slow down a little bit. it is 1/2" x 20. that is 1/2" major thread diameter x 20 threads per inch. 11/16 or 3/4" may be the hex size and that is the wrench size. it isn't any wonder that a 11/16 (diameter) x 20 nut costs so much, it would be over 1-3/8 diameter. go to a junk...
maybe little help
Every answer above is valid and good. don't look for a quick fix, patience is the key. Drill a small 1/4" hole in in the frame just above the broken bolt. start applying penetrating oil, take several days and do this each day several times. also a trick I learned from a old...
don't want to come off as a smart arse, but is there oil in the pan or on the dip stick?
just thinking, hole in the pan, oil gone? maybe you have already done this.

bruce, sorry I just realized you are referring to the template for the bolt holes. I have not done my trim ring yet. the alum template you see in the pics comes with the kit. it is a very good piece that will never be used again.

68coronet, brucedl is dead on with his writeup. I just finished one of the installs with the phantom 200 for my fast efi2 injection. I did make a hole in the trunk and am making a stainless trim ring for the trunk floor. I am going to 90 degree fitting up from the orb fitting, then using...
Eos
I worked for a local Chevrolet dealer while a senior in high school about 1973. I remember the was a small can of stuff call EOS (engine oil supplement) that we added to newly rebuilt or assembled engines called "Whale Tail Oil" that was later deemed not good for the whales, so they went to...
all, here is a little more info. the tubing was Mcmaster.com part number 5108k42, 1/8" id, 3/16" od with 1/32 wall. it fit the little nozzle ok, but I also added a drop of superglue, didn't want it blowing off.
on the slots in the frame connectors, I have yet to weld in my slots. it is a relief...

don't understand what the kero mix is supposed to do? If you don't want to see a detailed explanation, DO NOT read on, you may be wasting your time.
First my 68 RR was on a rotisserie so working underneath was easy. I made several air blow nozzles with copper tubes to reach back in the frames...
probably some sealer or gel (insulation) out of the capacitors. capacitors seem to always go early nowdays. trash and replace before it totally lets you down.

i have spent much hours on the web, and talking to MSD, and Fast. you need to keep digging. Fast is introducing a EX 2.0 that uses a new user interface with more options, even timing and transmission control. it is not sold yet but seems to be just a few months away. Fast also has a new...
