I used this same pump on your recommendation. Initially it was just for priming on a momentary switch . I lost the mechanical pump due to a pushrod failure, and now I am running it as my only fuel pump. I mounted mine along the rocker where the stock fuel line ran. No problems so far.
Sounds about right. I made 415 HP and 450 TQ at the crank with a similar combination, but a bit less cam. That sounds like the performer RPM cam. My buddy built a 383 with that cam and it made about the same power.
I used my small hydraulic shop press to take a dent out of my Dakota bumper after my wife had a mishap. It worked well. If I was more concerned I would have used a small block of wood between the press and the bumper.
I had a 72 230 thick main web block that had a factory forged crank. I personally disassembled the engine and the bearings were date coded to when it was built. The story was that it came out of a 72 charger with a 4 speed. I believe a number of early engines with 4 speeds received forged cranks.
