I have to agree with those that said your trap speed is low. My much milder 500 (approximately 575 hp) in a similar weight car would trap at 120 in full street trim.

I used RMS strut rods. They have heim joints at the K frame. I felt like it made the front end rise easier. If you start adjusting the length too much you could put the lower control arm bushings into a bind which defeats the purpose.

Yes I believe that is too close. Your mixture is probably fine, you are just throwing the gauge off.

I made close to 600 HP and over 600 TQ with a similar build using a 236/242 hydraulic roller. A lot will depend on the cam. It will also affect your ability to use pump gas.

Those are good forgings. My buddy used to use the similar 340 pistons and milled most of the dome off, still plenty of meat on the crown.
