    If you're going to leave the shaft in I would think it won't make much difference. I cut the whole shaft out and plugged both sides.

    '66 Charger 361ci - affordable dual exhaust solution?

    I bought mine with a dual exhaust system installed by the previous owner. He used the stock manifolds and basically cut off the Y pipe a couple of inches below the flange and sleeved the new pipes over them and welded it. Not the most efficient but he did a pretty clean job.

    I ran 1 3/4 TTIs on a 500 in my old A body cuda. The 1 7/8 will be fine, especially for the street, and they will fit better.

    My 66 Charger was a 361 two barrel. It uses the low performance manifolds and the previous owner had a 2 1/4 system bent up. Seems like they cut the Y pipe and used the stubs and sleeved the new pipe over it. It has huge mufflers and is very quiet.

    I have never seen that attachment. I did just remove the heat riser valve from my manifold, and tapped it and installed pipe plugs.
