Gotcha. Didn't realize the 2 x 4 was not internally regulated.
It sounds like you might want to look into one of those EFI-ready tanks listed above. In-tank pumps really are the best solution for EFI. You're probably aware but since they are submerged, the pumps are quieter and run cooler. And...
X2. Unfortunately I don't know of any EFI-ready tanks for '71-up cars.
Before you start throwing money at a new fuel pump - you may have other issues. #1, AFAIK, the Sniper has an internal fuel pressure regulator so maybe ditch the external one you have and see if that helps. #2 - do you have...
RFI is a PITA. Seems like anything can cause it including the air cleaner stud but having ‘other stuff‘ tied in to the same battery post is a definite no-no. At least you didn’t try to run it to the coil positive stud or some such thing.
Holley really beats you over the head with the “clean...
Exhaust leaks were killing my Sniper tune to the point of my throttle body being black. Seems like you've got that under control but it's worth repeating that you gotta stay on top of stuff like that with EFI or things go south in a hurry.
Startup is tricky. There have been times where I had...
Like I said, between 1-5%. I have a Sniper myself. That's what you want.
And again, if you can't get the AFR to stay at what's commanded then like the OP is now grasping there is something preventing it from happening. I'll say I have had a similar issue myself with exhaust leaks. When I first...
Actually that number is between 1-5% and best with 1 or 2 but it can be tricky to get it to stay there consistently. Think of it like the transfer slot on a carburetor. Ideally you only want a little bit of the slot showing, .020" is the number I've always used. Not all combos will be able to...
Not doubting that it didn't happen to you but I still can't wrap my head around it. I've had 02 sensors in several "old" cars I've owned that were or are still running either an AFR gauge or EFI and none of them have failed.
In a past life I was a Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/Hyundai dealership tech as...
You could have a bad ECU. Call Holley and see what they say before spending any more money on replacement sensors.

Sounds like a lot of part swapping. Its pretty hard to kill an 02. They are designed to run for 100k+ miles without ever needing to be replaced.
Can you describe the chain of events that led to your question? Seems like the car was running then “something” happened and...? Were you messing...
The Wizard config is a basic, get-the-car-running tune. It's like a generic blanket that covers all sorts of combinations. What are some of the specs on the car? Does it have a wild cam or something? 35 AFR is not a real reading, that's basically the ECU not reading the sensor correctly or even...
OK, fair enough. I'd like to see that word doc if you have a direct link for it. What I really would like though is a list of the terminals they use for their wiring harness. Most of them are Metri-pack variants but there are some oddballs in there. I searched them all out and have a jumbled up...
Not trying to start an argument in threewood's thread about where to get your info from but I'm not so sure "most people" are on the FB group over the forums, suppose we'll have to agree to disagree on that. The Holley forums are pretty good, can't see looking elsewhere for Sniper-specific tech...
Some reading for you.
If that actually is a Boss 429 carb... man!

Been a while, bringing this back up. Any updates 3 Wood?
So, my fuel graph looks fairly similar to yours.
It's taken me a while to get to this point but I'm finally understanding what needs to happen with this Sniper thing. Building a config file was what really got me to this point and how it...
BTW, I finally got my laptop hooked up to the Sniper ECU two days ago. Just for fun, I updated the Sniper firmware from V15 to V26 today. Had a little bit of a scare when something stopped the flash in the middle and I had to cycle the key. Turning it back on I almost blindly tried to start the...
I used a combination of Russell Twist-Lok and Aeroquip hose and either Russell, Aeroquip or XRP fittings. Cost a small fortune but no leaks. No rubber hose, no worm clamps, not at 60 psi.
Sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with this. The Sniper is absolutely 'self learning' and does a pretty good job of it. Not sure what else there is to say other than it does what it's supposed to do. Obviously for the learn function to be optimal, you need to have everything working...
For the average muscle car dude switching to EFI in his home garage, the throttle body systems offer the cleanest packaging and ease of install. Same basic idea as a carb and same mounting just electronically controlled. With my air cleaner on Joe Schmoe at the local cruise night will have to...
