    USCT K frame mod

Glad TTI got their **** together. I bought their headers back in 2008 and used their motor mount adapters and they interfered with each other.... So I had to heat and dent my new expensive headers... oh well. Any reason you don't want to just swap to a mid sump pan? Holley makes a...

    Gen III Hemi engine builds

Not sure if there is an existing thread for proven engine builds concerning the Gen III Hemi but figure it would be a decent resource as there is nowhere near the information out there compared to say, LS engines. I am currently building two Gen IIIs Engine 1 - Stock 6.1L Hemi that has been in...

What is your experience with G3H products from Holley?

Well I ordered one of the Holley intake manifolds from a vendor months ago and it still hasn't shipped... The Holley mid sump cast oil pan will NOT clear ARP main studs....

    EMS upgrade

I think Holley takes the cake as far as affordability and overall support... plenty of tuners know their way around the Holley software. I ended up going with an MS3X system as a learning experience - if I had to do it again I would have just gone with Holley and called it a day.

    6.4 based 426

What do you want to know? I am researching a 7.0L build utilizing a 6.1L block --- slightly smaller bore than the 6.4L but everything else is similar... stroker kit for the 6.1L uses a 4.080" stroke while the 6.4L uses a 4.050" crank... In short - you'd just order a stroker kit for the...

    Contemplating a new engine conversion

Originally swapped my 6.1L into my 68 Charger back in 2008... things have come a long way since then. Getting the engine physically in the car is a bolt in affair - if you want you can go the "old" route and run a A518 or a TF727 with Gear Vendors... Or run the modern trans... or...

    Scored a little project

Well keeping on with this for those who care... Scored some 6.1L heads and plan on dropping my block off to my machinist in a couple weeks - this will determine what the one hurt cylinder will clean up at as the kit I am looking at allows for either +0.010" or +0.025" - Seeing how bad the...

Just found this Hemi swap forum - My Hemi Swap 68

negative brother - the factory A/C box already has the nut attached to the tube coming out of the box - so you need the fitting pictured above to connect to it. So in short the fittings are very much around and making the lines are not difficult especially when you have the crimping tool...

Just found this Hemi swap forum - My Hemi Swap 68

The pressure switch should just be wired between the triggering relay and the compressor - this essentially deactivates the A/C system if there is a pressure issue. The factory firewall fittings are IIRC a 10 and a 6 or something like that. The -10 should use a normal o-ring fitting that is...

    Holley Hemi swap parts

Guess TTI got their **** together after I got my headers... had to ding mine in a few spots to fit.

    Holley Hemi swap parts

I'm still waiting on Holley to get back to me with what oil pan i need from them... haha is the only difference the cocking of the pickup tube? I mean the pans are all the same correct?

As others have stated - I went to Classic Auto Air and got an assortment of lines/fittings but I also scored a hydraulic line crimping tool for like $40 so I just crimp my own --- slightly more work than taking it to a hydraulic shop but it's more than paid for itself

    Scored a little project

I mean I could do that - in hindsight - running an aftermarket supercharger may make more sense from a money standpoint... but we will see. I have a hellcat timing cover and a spare 6.1L timing cover - going to mock it all up and see what's what. I already have the hellcat SC but if its going...

    Scored a little project

I have heard that - I am looking for the 6.4L Apache heads as they are, from what I've seen, are essentially the same exact used on the Hellcat with some minor changes (intake bolt pattern) - I know Edelbrock is releasing their Gen III heads and are drilled for both a traditional intake and the...

    Scored a little project

Will do - I figure theres still much obscurity with the Gen III stuff that this will help me with discovering a few little nuiances. ie - Holley makes a cast aluminum swap oil pan - well they list one for the non-VVT, VVT, and Hellcat... so what makes the Hellcat different than the VVT? I know...

    Scored a little project

Well I managed to score something I've been on the lookout for... a bare 6.1L block. I already have a 6.1L Gen III in my 68 Charger but wanted to build something a bit more aggressive so I finally got a base.... 6.1L block, non-VVT... plan is as follows... "426" Stroker kit with...

Just found this Hemi swap forum - My Hemi Swap 68

Nice to see the NAG1 is finally getting some aftermarket support - I ended up going with a Viper spec T-56 instead of the NAG1 because back in 2009 there was NO support what-so-ever...

    Gen III Hemi crate

Last I checked the 6.4 uses powdered metal rods and hypereutectic pistons... so aside from the crank you're not getting anything more "forged" than the 5.7... I find 5.7L blocks for $100-$500 all around - drop in a true forged rotating assembly and you're only at half the cost of a 6.4 with...

    GIII VVT Controller

Not super sure as my 6.1 does not utilize the VVT system... but it shows the operation being the phaser (mechanical part attached to the camshaft) and the solenoid to control the oil flow to the phaser itself... the solenoid seems to be a two wire hook-up and thus is most likely a simple...

What Throw out bearing system are you using with your G3?

I ran a McLeod hydraulic throwout bearing on my Tremec TKO but I believe they also make one for the 833.
