So from everything I'm reading here..nobody has used the early type/A&A unit, and does not know how it reacts.

Is that how the production dates work (70 on VB would be used in the 1971 model year vehicle ? )

I have seen copies of the early simple units used on slant six cars in 67 ( copies are sold by A&A Transmisions)

Been looking into the TPKD systems, there are 2 different styles (early 70 and back--and late 71 and up). Just wanting to ask which is better for a street cruiser/ driver (with a 2 barrel carb and 3.23 gears if that matters) Is there much difference between the two designs ?

I'm looking for a stock unmodified 1968 727 valve body..actually , all I really need is the upper half with all the valves in it. My transmission connection passed away about 4 years ago. So what should I expect to pay for one ? 1968.

If you were asking about rear axle ratio...My 1962 Plymouth Fury wagon (318 poy) has the stock tapered axle, and the gear ratio is 3.23.

Thanks, I've also been looking into doing the PTKD update. I do have a 1971 727 with PTKD that I can use for parts (PTKD & 24 spline stuff) My trans is a 1962 pushbutton. Thanks for all the help.

I'm sure you are correct about the weight being more.

From what I've found, the car should weigh 3600-3650, as for the 19 spline thing. I have the parts to update to 24 spline system. So if I update the splines in the trans, I would need to get a converter (reason for asking my question)

A 1962 Fury wagon, 318 Polysphere engine ,3.23 gears, and 27" tall tires.. just a weekend cruiser..no plans to race. Those days are behind me :)

Got a question about the Stock 727 (wide ring and narrow ring) torque converters. I see about a 200 rpm difference in the stall speeds. How much of a performance change does that make ? What about how it would effect towing and even fuel mileage.

Tell me more about adding the part throttle kick down to the cable/pushbutton trans...cost to do it...how involve to install ? I have a 62 Fury wagon.

Might be able to get a 68 Newport for parts. How close would the rear axle Assy be to fitting in my 62 Belvedere ? Overall width and spring pearch width ? would be nice upgragde to have the flanged axles.

Do you happen to have the "O" ring sizes for the park cable, and also the 1962 speedometer housing " O" ring (not the large type)

You seem to know a lot about PB 727s. Was the an issuse of different sized converter pilot hub sizes in the early 60's TorqueFlites ? That's funny 600hp, my 318 poly would be proud to hear that :)

What upgrades can be done to a 1962 Push Button 727 ? I also have a 1969-1971 ? PTKD 727 that I can rob for parts (if they will fit / and are an upgrade) This is just a driver / no race car here !
