    Agreed with all above. The sound may not be a brake sound, but a suspension sound. With a panic stop, you may have compressed the suspension on an older car that is not used to that kind of travel, and broken something.

    I "upgraded" mine. Used a Ram auto dimming mirror, ran the wires, and glued the base to the windshield like most cars these days.
