I saw this on Classic Auto Air, and wanted to know if that might work on My 69 Bee? It would be a nicer factory look, rather than vents under the dash. Anybody ever seen that done?
I’ve been talking with CVF, and I think the Beast system will allow me to keep the clutch fan. Probably going to go ahead with that one on black. Hope there is enough room!!!
Thanks. That Dakota set up looks cool! I have been on CVF site and looked around a bit. I have some time, as we still have to install the TKO and front brakes first
Looks great. I’ve been thinking of adding the Wraptor too. It would put the compressor on the passenger side. Installer I found has not done a b body yet. Several Camaro and Chevelle cars, though. I need to figure out where the hoses go like you did. Want a clean look, but not make it too...
Is that from Vintage? Just trying to get a nice clean look Don't think I can make my own brackets, so what's the next best way to mount it?
Thanks for your help!!
With the help of a buddy, we are going to take the a833 out and install a TKO 600. Also, doing a disc brake conversion on the front. So, I do like to wrench around a bit, and save a little money here or there. Also, I don’t mind having someone do some other things that I have no experience...
Been thinking about Vintage Air for my 69 Super Bee. Looks like about $1800 to buy, but how much is a fair deal for install? Got first quote, and he said around 40 hrs, about $3000. Seemed a bit high to me. I thought a guy who has done a bunch of these would be a bit faster. Any experience on this?
Ok. After all the research and advice, I ended up going with the Wilwood plain rotor, 11 inch, 4 piston brakes. Liked th 11.75, and came very close to going that way, but, Wilwood offered no spindle change, and I thought the 11.75 vs 11 wasn't worth the extra effort to change spindles. Plus...
Thanks 440! Glad to know the install wasn't too bad, and only a little cutting. I'm not worried about 2-3 shift. I think it has been addressed and some could be old 4 speed guys not used to tighter gates
Thanks for all the advice! Both are priced around $4700. SST kit includes sheet metal for shifter seal, AP doesn't. Guess they don't think I need it. It is a console car. AP thinks I can still use my pistol grip, SST says the angles won't work and may hit the console. Both seem to include their...
Thanks for the advice. I think the T-5 is rated at 300ft lbs torque. I don't know exactly what my torque is, but, the hp was supposedly dynode at 520hp. That's why I'm looking t a TKO. I would definitely like a smaller case though!!
I have been looking into changing my A833 in my 69 Super Bee to a 5 speed. Running 4.10 gears, I could really use that extra od gear!
Looking at kits. So far, American Powertrain, and Silver Sport, have sent me quotes. Any other place to get a quote? Or does anybody know a lot about Tko installs...
