Repop vintage tires really make these old cars pop. Expensive, but worth it if you’re trying to maintain a period correct look.

Yeah, you don't need to mess with the springs to mount a 275 60. I have 275 60r15's on my 68 coronet. They are mounted on wheel vintiques, 15 by 8 in size.
