    The Machine shop I use is very heavy into endurance, roundy round, racing engines and offshore marine engines. these types of applications are way, way harder on parts than drag racing engines. He has been using BAM for a few years now, and says they hold the closest numbers of any lifters...

    Look into BAM lifters, if you haven’t already. They are in Florida, and have a bronze bushing solid roller.

    I had Crower grind a custom solid flat tappet for my 440. It rang up around 400 bucks. Cams aren’t cheap anymore.

    While the car is apart, you may want to consider an SFI bellhousing. Maybe I missed that you already have one, or are installing one.

    Drag Pak Challenger TH400

    The one I looked at had a Ford 9” rear axle as well. Of course, it was all aftermarket, but 9” architecture, no less.
