Two guys in PA that I have used with great results.
Pete Teasdale @ Teasdale Machine
and
Bruce @ Toth Automotive
Both are Mopar guys and great machinist.
Sanctioning race associations would use the tool that pnora posted to check engine size of competitors. In the beginning, track officials would pump the number one cylinder and cheaters began to run 7 illegal cylinders and keep #1 legal.
Soon it changed to random cylinder testing......
You need to contact Bruce at Toth Performance in Pennsylvania. He specializes in Poly motors.
His stroker kits and Poly heads are supurb !
He can port a set of heads and modify your rocker arms for a high lift cam.
You will not be disappointed
Please post some pics of the block. Especially the deck. The D5 blocks are different than a production block.
Most were used for Top Fuel cars and Pro Stock back in the day.
I know a few guys who could be interested in it.
The left side HP exhaust manifold for a 1967 440 car is a one year only manifold and the H-pipe is different than the 68-69
cars because of the exhaust exit.
I would have to look up the casting number but it is easy to recognize. The casting number will be upside down when
the manifold is...
I ran Royal Purple 10W30 in a small block Ford motor that we beat on pretty hard. The machine work on this engine was done by a well know engine builder in Arkansas.
He told us to use nothing but Royal Purple. It was ahigh winding 306 with a 5 speed. I never had a bearing issue with it...
The part in your first pic looks like a Chevy piece. Looks very similar to what a 2 speed aluminum Power Glide transmission uses.
I would find a friend with an extra power glide and try that.
Years ago I bought that part from a transmission parts supplier called Transtar Industries. They...
I put plenty of miles on a Hemi with 10.3 to 1 compression. Iron MP heads with a Barton solid flat tappet cam. Duration @ .050 was 252 degrees and
.543 lift.
Ran it on 93 octane pump gas with no problems. Base timing was 18 degrees with a total of 34 degrees.
You will need the stator support (or complete front pump), the forward and direct drums from either a 67-70 transmission or out of a 71- up transmission.
The 67-70 direct drum uses a narrow bushing and the 71-up uses a wide bushing. So they have to match the pump support.
If you use another...
The hole in the cable ends are a different size depending on year model and
of course pushbutton is different than a console or column shift cable operated transmission.
I have not had a problem with shifter adjustments when I match valve body manual valves and
rooster combs the year model of...

This website has a great article in their tech section about what you will need to make it work.
If memory serves correctly you will need to swap the rooster comb and the manual valve from your 62
transmission valve body to make it work...
It could be for a MW pan. It look like it is for a 62-65 B body.
What does the area of the pan that is over the steering center link look like ?
For sale ?
Do you have any 62 413 MW parts ?
It can be done. Use a 440 low compression piston.
A 72 year model low compression piston will be almost at zero deck height.
But as said before not all blocks can go that far and I would have the cylinders checked for
thickness.
I have seen the shifter from Brewer's. It is a very nice piece and I highly recommend it. You
won't be sorry.
I sent a message to a friend who may have the shifter handle that you are looking for.
