Brake pedal feel: How do you like it?

The 68 was 4 11in Drums non power . The drums were standard never cut with original Asbestos shoes. It was adequate dry, in the rain Nope. Then added the smaller pin type discs, was better but not Stellar. Now has the bigger pin brackets and Dr Diff drilled and slotted rotors and EBC green pads...

    Pitman Arm 69 Road Runner

Just went through this with a manual to power conversion. It should work but you will probably need a toe set / alignment. Measure or just eyeball with the idler arm as long as they are the same good to go.

    1969 Disc Brake Conversion Kits

The largest you can fit is a 10.95 rotor and depending on the wheel used it is still a tight fit. Are you using factory drum spindle's? I lucked out and found a complete setup with disc spindles of a 73 B-wagon for my 68. I just upgraded to 11.75 rotors from Dr Diff so I have the pin style 10.95...

    QA1 lower control arms.

Not saying the QA1 lowers are bad but I would use the OEM lowers with the reinforcement plates welded in and a Poly bushing. You could fab some sway bar mounts and go with a bigger bar for sure. The price to buy them is Crazy if they even make them for a B-Body. A-Body tabs are stupid $$$ for...

    Power Steering conversion.

Took the car for a shakedown and the steering is so much better, no wondering, nice tight and responsive feel. I don't feel the 12 o'clock looseness some complain about. I will have to get the Pittman arm as the curved A-Body one put the wheel off center about 1/4 turn.

Installing Hydroboost and bigger brakes in a 1970 Charger

Great writeup and food for thought. Having just added PS with the Saginaw pump makes me want PB also. I have the smaller pin type calipers and rotors from a 72 or 73 B wagon and while they stop OK they are not to my liking. On changing the pedal ratio where did you drill for the MC rod? Further...

    Power Steering conversion.

Just got done. Instead of using the Federal pump and old style box I used a Saginaw pump and a box from a 74 A-body. Aside for minor clearance of the bolt holes to the K-frame and juggling pulleys pretty straight forward. The column was a bit tedious. I have the B PS shaft but it is a bit short...

1969 road runner manual steering shaft length

Just did a manual to PS conversion. Manual shaft is 43 3/4 to the pin center and 44 1/4 to the end of the shaft. Took a pic of the ends by the pin to show the difference. 68 R/R column shift no tilt if they even made one ??

    K-Frame Restoration Parts

I understand trying to get the best bang for the buck but sometimes it will bite you. I have a post on some Ebay upper ball joints that were China junk. Go with PST and also see if they have the kit to reinforce the K-frame. I followed the link to the outfit you posted and looked at reviews...

    P.S. conversion

Looks like that would be the one. Alt bracket looks the same so that should not be an issue. Want to swap both WP and Crank pulleys? Before any thing let Me pull both off and get some measurements.

    P.S. conversion

Yeah I think I need a 3 groove maybe the one that came on that Cuda BB. I have the single and a 2 groove that is on it now. Got a pic of the Cuda one? AC car?

    P.S. conversion

Howdy Folks, Finally doing PS on the 68. I am using a newer style box and a Saginaw pump. Box went in fine with a little grinding on the K-frame holes. Went from the single groove crank pulley to a 2 grove. I think the pulley is for the Federal type pump and the Sag pump belt needs another grove...

Upper Control Arm Bushing Collars -Are they needed?

Never seen that before and I had a 70 Charger. I dont think they are needed and where to find them is a question. Do a search for Ricks Parts on Ebay He is rick Eherenberg from Mopar action and has the Moog bushings listed. Now I am curious about that collar and will search it out. I guess you...

Upper Control Arm Bushing Collars -Are they needed?

I think you just need the complete bushing with the shell. Moog has a problem solver set with an offset to give more camber and caster. Can you post a pic of what you are talking about?

    Shocks

Just put some KYB gas adjusts on a 63 Belvedere along with all poly bushings. My old *** could not compress the shocks so I put them in a press just to get them going so to speak. They are firm for sure will see how it rides when done. I have a set on my 67 Chevelle for 20 plus years and they...
