Picked My 68 up when I was in Oregon. LA built car just needed Quarters, rear window corner and some fender work. For all the rain in the PNW they don't really rot if stored well. No salt west of the Cascades but near the coast is another story. Same deal with the 73 Duster, very minor bubbles...
Throw some mud and see what sticks. From the add as a 15 footer it looks OK. But you saw it in person and seem to be well versed in that model. IDK $1800 maybe?
I you use POR15 get the small cans as it turns to concrete when opened as you probably already know. It comes in 6 packs from Summit. Use the kit and directions, I am happy with the results.
Just got back from Vegas and MCATS and dropped off my Duster for body and paint at my buddies. Doing a labor swap on his 63 Wagon to get it reliable. Pretty cool car 383 dual quad push button 727 and Patina from hell.
Spent 3 weeks @ my buddies place helping with his 63 Belvedere Wagon getting it going. Plus some car shows, local and good food. Still lots of stuff out there.
Looks like a solid car to start with. For sure build them the way YOU want. Have you thought of going with a overdrive trans like a Tremec? A 470 5spd and 355 or 373s = more smiles per miles. Going to follow this for sure.
I am also doing a 400 to 470 build. Waiting for the machine shop to check what the bore can go to so I can give 440 source some $$$$$. Will be watching your build and compare notes.
You want PC ? Come to Eugene OR. Yesterday before my car broke down I was at a corner making a turn by a bunch of protesters for Green Energy. So I waited for the light to turn Green, put on my turn signal and lit the tires up getting sideways in front of them. Car breaking down bad Karma?? No...
