When I was 18, I bought a used set of traction bars for my first car, 70 340 Swinger and immediately installed them. That night, I thought I was pretty cool cruising the main drag and was convinced they made the car hook better until a guy in a Challenger TA told me that my traction bars were on...
It's been pretty bad, the loss of livestock is catastrophic. They were estimating that dairy farms were dumping/losing 1.5 million litres (400k gallons) of milk per day as the trucks couldn't get to the farms. In the lowest lying areas, water was 15-20' deep in the barns. The main causes were...
I ordered a set of seatbelts and a remote mirror. It didn't say anything about being back-ordered but I don't have a lot of experience with them. I know National Moparts doesn't tell you until you receive your order and the invoice states back ordered. It's a bit frustrating.
Does anyone know if this is a temporary closure? I placed an order for some console parts over a month ago and never heard anything. About a week back, I sent them an email to check on my order and no response. A few days later I got a Paypal refund. No communication from PCG though.
They are...
Thanks for the insight and advice! I truly appreciate it, it's a bit daunting getting back into the hobby after so much time away. I think I'll stick with something closer to home.
I hear what you're saying, I've always watched the show, but I've always also struggles with the antics. I just like to see the cars.
Maybe try watching the latest two episodes, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts. I've noticed a significant change.
To be fair to GYC, they must have been paying attention because the last two episodes have been completely about the cars. No dancing, goofiness, and the corny one-liners have been cut to a minimum. It is a night and day difference to the first five episodes of this season.
Thanks!!! I must've missed it being posted on here in December. Yeah I found it worrisome that the price has changed 4 times this month, I did talk to the guy on the phone though and he seemed ok. Great seller rating on Ebay as well...
Just wondering if there is anyone in the Redding CA area that would be willing to go take a quick look at this car:

I am quite interested in it but am about a 12-13 hour drive away and have...
I'm totally hooked on those guys! I love what they did with that 68 Roadrunner and the Mach1 daily driver. I'm leaning towards a Roadkill Garage fix up for the first year or two, then getting it painted and finished properly. I would re-do the complete interior right away though, that would bug...
Thanks for the feedback. I'm kind of liking it too, even though I prefer the Plymouth B Bodies, they are few and far between around here. I like the black bucket//console interior.
He sent a pic of the fender tag, not alot of options on it lol:

The floor pans and frame rails look good, just the typical trunk floor, bottom of rear window, quarters, which is common for this area. The problem is where the car is, it's a bit of a pain to get to. It's a couple of ferry rides. I like that is comes with a motorhome 440 and 727. I just...
I'm looking to get back into the hobby after a long time away, and this came up close to me. It's within my budget, and I'm looking for a driver/project.
I am wondering if the price is worth it, it's about $7200 USD. I'm thinking $6000 or $6500 USD max.
Thoughts...
1. Thought I was being pretty slick when I bought some used traction bars off a local guy and put them on my 70 340 Swinger...backwards...then went cruising looking for races. Guy rolled up and said, "You know those are on backwards?"
2. Thought I was being pretty slick, once again, a couple of...
