What is a good timing for my set up..

I would start in the neighborhood of 12 degrees BTDC with vacuum advance plugged.

    How do you do burnouts?

My car is a bonafide street car but when I do make it to the track the 60 foot times are great with 1.52 being the best so far. I’m not changing anything to be able to do a straight burnout on the street.

    How do you do burnouts?

My car is uncontrollable after I lay into the 750 double pump Holley. The rear of the car will eventually start coming around no matter what I do. I have had Hoosier, Micky Thompson, and currently Nitto drag radials. The Nitto’s work best for me but they eventually give way to the 440’s torque.

Can a Clutch Car be Competitive in Bracket?

I love the cool factor of shifting gears but I don't know of anyone who can out shift an automatic using a 4 speed. I really love 4 and 5 speed manual transmissions and they are my choice for my daily drivers. My wife loves her 6 speed manual as well.

    What Will It Run?

    10 inch Front Drum Brakes

LOL! Most. Most history buffs will say 10.50 but I have read that we went 10.02. He didn't even have seat belts in the car!

    10 inch Front Drum Brakes

Not saying I would go through with the 10 inch brake installation on my car but Jimmy Addison ran these same small brakes front and rear on the Silver Bullet and ran on the street. Of course he didn't have today's lightweight braking technology but he was getting every last bit of excess weight...

    10 inch Front Drum Brakes

Approximately how much weight did you shave converting to 10 inch?

    10 inch Front Drum Brakes

I own a 69 roadrunner and I'm contemplating a swap from 11 inch front drum brakes to 10 inch for the weight savings on the drag strip. I understand some b bodies have factory 10 inch drum brakes on the front but I need to know which will bolt onto my 69. Also, will my current hubs and...

Cast Aluminum Mopar Performance Valve Covers and Crankcase Evacuation

Thanks! I am hoping to find some that would convert the oil fill cap hole to push in breather type. These would need to be somewhat wider at the top to cover the oil fill cap slots.

Cast Aluminum Mopar Performance Valve Covers and Crankcase Evacuation

Do any of you use Mopar Performance cast aluminum valve covers along with a Moroso crankcase evacuation system? If so, where did you get the grommets for the push in breathers ? My internet searches lead me nowhere. Thanks! Greg

Losing weight on your b-body ??

It has been suggested that I could lose 15 lbs of ugly fat by cutting off my head.

Losing weight on your b-body ??

I have been weight conscious of my street/strip 69 roadrunner for some time now. So far I have removed the hood hinges and installed a lift off hood, aluminum water pump housing, and I removed the heater box and wiper motor. The only thing left I really want to do is install some aluminum heads.

Stock axle strength/ how fast are you with them

I run a street/strip 69 roadrunner with a factory 489 rear chunk and stock axles. It is good for high 6's in the 1/8 mile with a 60 foot of 1.52. This is with a 175 hp of NOS and 11 inch slicks. Call me lucky but my axles still look new. I have been told by local Mopar drag racers that once I...

    Fuel line upgrade

I have a streep/strip car with 175 hp shot of NOS. I am using the factory tank with 1/2" fuel pick-up and aluminum line. The electric pump is a Mallory and the regulator is a 5 port return style including a return port which is also fitted with a 1/2" line. I drilled a hole in the factory...

I'm out of Racing indefinitely. I'm a mess.

That 67 Camaro sitting on the lift now has a 68 grille while lying on its side. Or, does that 68 Camaro have 67 doors?

    Compression bump.

Spray both sides. Lewt is right. It might already have steel shims on it.
