On that VFN hood, The 68 Roadrunner and GTX had two hoods, early and late with those holes
in different places and two different grill supports! After that they were all the same.
Back in 75 I installed a Sony 8track Discreet Quad system in my "X". I would drive out to the woods
and listen to it for hours. Sounded Fantastic! Didn't need to be loud, the seperation was unbelieveable!
Go to a pick-a-part and scavenge a handle & cable that's long enough and put it in. It should be easy enough.
You must live around some rude people that want to get hurt? I would never touch someone else's car without
asking! Then when they shut the hood, they put the famous "Dent" in the top of...
Put a HellCat crate engine and transmission in it if you want to go that quick! Can't think of how much money it would cost to make
a 318 put out enough power! Nice project!
They are scarce as Hens Teeth! Depends if you have 10" brakes, 11" brakes, Disc brakes, Front, Rear,
Etc. Dorman no longer makes ANY L.H. thread studs. My 68 GTX L.F. W/11" brakes takes a Dorman

hopefully they will have a little witness mark of the direction that they were put in. Don't
tighten them down all the way on each one. Sneak up on them a liitle at a time. Slow and
easy.
Yes, get to it from behind and use a piece of 1 X 2" wood and shape the long end to a dull point.
Hit it into submission! You may have to remove the fenders and work on a padded horse.
Yes, I scoured Google Images for all kinds of reference pictures and downloaded tons of them.
Of course, you can always aske here and everyone will be willing to help! Go through different
members posts and grab those pic's. Not easy to put it back together when you didn't take it
apart! Good luck!
The 3M 5/16" is the correct seal for the rear, but the better option if you want is to
use the 3M Urethane calk. It's what newer cars use, and holds better, but I can't do
it myself because I'm not that experienced! Yes, the moldings will keep the window
from coming out!
