I picked up a piece of translucent glass from an old gas pump. I used a nice piece of wood to make a box for it. I had an under the counter fluorescent light that I had picked up cheap at an estate sale. I pulled the guts out of the plastic case, and mounted them right in the box.

We got started hiking abandoned RR lines way before Rails to Trails was a thing, probably in 87-88. Back then it was old rusted rails, rotting ties and overgrown with weeds and shrubs in some spots.

Late to the party.

You would think out of 49,800 units you could find a fender. You are probably right about folks holding on to the one’s they have. Can’t really blame them. Andy is a wizard, so let’s keep our fingers crossed. But it doesn’t hurt to keep looking to see if there’s one available somewhere out...
damn that fender is like a spaghetti strainer
good luck @davek
piece together a good panel from several rusty panels
a good metal man can do it
again good luck
A box full of random NOS Mopar parts. I’d guess that none of them fit any B-bodies. Maybe youll get lucky and a carb kit will work on something. You pay shipping. Eventually they will end up in the trash if I don’t get a taker.
There are thousands of miles of abandon rail in America, some of the older narrow gauge stuff still exist here in Texas as I am sure there is elsewhere. It would be cool to be able to operate on both standard and narrow gauges. Need to join a few of the railroad groups to get good information...
Just came across this video when watching a member's video of the problems he's having with his car.
Unrelated to Mopars but should be interesting for anyone with gasoline in their veins.
For it's time it & Henry Ford was pretty ingenious
he had all aspects of the build in house, his own plants for power
his own forges & mills 'in house'
his own rubber plantation in central America IIRC,
he was a shrewd operator, & he had the money to do it too
leveraged most everyone else out...
