We've all used some version of the engine lift plate --- the one you bolt to the intake manifold for the engine lift. Every time I do this I get the willies because it's just 4 tiny bolts in an aluminum intake meant to hold a carburetor.
How much weight is reasonable? I get it... "an engine"...

Per Chrysler I am having my 2020 Jeep Wrangler repainted because of a recall. Paint is bubbling.
Why are they going to order new doors, hinges, and hood. The Jeep is almost all aluminum.
Can't they sand it down prime and repaint? Why new parts, 1 year wait to complete.

I used an AFB on ours for some years after we got it in 2004. Also had a Holly double pumper for a while.

Wizard products sell a mist on wipe off protectant for a flat paint finish.
My 67 hood is SEM hot rod black , I use the wizard product to protect from tree sap and bird crap.
The SEM should be fine on its own I just like the extra protection.
