Just went through this a few hrs ago on my 499. All this dizzy work for pri oiling is the reason I put a pri-oiler on my 557,...just flip a switch or push a button.
I agree with the fact that calipers should float and that setting the end play towards the lower tolerance would probably work just fine. I already have some Wilwood rear brakes and of course they recommend Green Bearings which I have heard do not have the reliability factor of tapered bearings...
Feel free to call me out if/when I do it.
It is not intentional. I do strive for what I think is original, funny and informative. I don't post it if I don't personally like it.
I’m not clear on what are you doing.
The bezel will come out with the cluster. Once on bench you can remove the bezel. Can’t remove just the bezel with cluster still on car.
Meaning with this, once you removed Radio and unplugged everything, drop the column, remove screws (there are two hidded...
The air/freon is pumped out of of the system, the pump vents to the atmosphere... The oil remains in the system, if you were able to pull 30 in/hg water would boil at 90 degrees below zero... But since NASA didn't loan you their vacuum chamber you can't.. Hopefully you can get somewhere around...
I just finished the installation of a Vintage Air system in a 68 Plymouth.

Wednesday I am bringing the car to a local shop to do the evacuate and fill.
I may have them do the service on this car too but I want to find any leaks I might have before I...
I've seen a few videos that also state to leave the red line and knob alone. I planned to put the vacuum pump on and see if it holds the recommended 30 in/hg or whatever the spec is.
Thanks, I've heard that too. I am curious though....if the vacuum pump is pulling, where does the air inside...
FYI, the reason you put the system in a vacuum is to remove moisture. The vacuum lowers the boiling point of water and the water actually boils off when doing this process.
If you open the handle on the right (the red handle) you allow flow from the high pressure side to enter the tank... Generally the tank is big enough to absorb that but it still shouldn't be done... If you were to do that with one of the small 12oz cans it could explode... The only reason to...
Turkey slices, bacon, Swiss cheese and a small amount of tomato. I asked for white bread toasted.....I hate that bird seed bread.
Fries were good and the Heinz 57 was great to go with it.
The heat range of the plug is controlled at the design stage. A projected nose tip plug will have the insulator size adjusted to maintain the nominated heat range. Projected nose tip plugs are better at self cleaning & preventing misfires. You would only switch to a non-projected tip plug if you...
Blue Bee Printing.
I had custom 440 4 BBL hood stickers printed by them and they do excellent work. You need to provide a picture and size of the stickers and they can replicate the script for the new engine size.
