    Rebuilding carburetors at home

I learned about main bodies being warped back in the 70's. For sure they cause poor running and no matter what you try, just can't get them to run right due to internal leaks. When I first flattened them out, I used a single cut file. Later on I had an aluminum block made that would just fit on...

    Is it camping season yet?

Some great camping stories. Something I sorely miss from my earlier life in Minnesota up til about 28. Then getting a corporate transfer by way of Chicago first to Colorado where I lived for 10 years. Not having any friends for awhile - during late spring to mid-fall I spent much of my free time...

Going to toss my hat into the YouTube world...

It's a hard road to get traction without content that titillates the masses. Niche video clips are not good for ratings. My advice is to snub your nose at the Anti-Vertical Party (lol....K-Dog) and do a couple of funny 'Shorts' to get the channel some fast ground.

    Replacing Master Cylinder

Hold the head with a wrench. Blast the nuts with penetrant. Break out the 1/2" drive impact, an extension, and a wobble socket. They'll either come loose or twist off. In which case you can drive 'em out with a punch and replace with new. Don't fight it. Years of working on stuff as much as 80...

Looking for "clean" ignition wire for Sniper 2

Put a loop between IGN1 and IGN2 - the loop keeps power on in Ignition and Crank positions on the ignition switch....in other words your Pink wire stays 'hot' when cranking. I did much the same as @gkent above....just a slightly different switch unit on my truck.

    Bought a k car

One of my old foreman back in the day, bought a new GLHS. Buddy, that thing would move. Another bought a turbo Daytona, that would too! It did take getting used to the pulling instead of pushing with the power.

Going to toss my hat into the YouTube world...

Well I pulled the trigger and started my own YouTube channel. My plan is to offer vids on a variety of Mopar, fabrication, shop maintenance etc. subjects. I was waiting to purchase some better equipment but my cheap cell phone will offer a good start. My first offering should have been "how...

Anyone install Vintage Air in a 1967 Coronet?

That reminds me of the time I was helping a guy do an engine swap way back in the 90s. As we set the engine in and was ready to bolt up the transmission, I said to the guy….They forgot to put a crankshaft in the engine ! The guy didn’t know much about cars… Is that important?? I got a good...
