    I’ve never even seen these on a 67 until I scoured the internet. You’re not asking but if I had a ‘vote’ I’d say leave them off. Very nice looking car without them on.

    As far as building normal straight shackle a mild steel flat bar will be fine. However if were building a set for myself I would probably go overkill and order 4140 flat bar. Tom
