MSD's need GREAT grounds (and connections to power). Make sure the engine is grounded very well too. Sometimes running rough will generate mysterious noises. Loose torque converter bolts once had me thinking I had a rod knock.
They are made of unobtainium! The people who have them want huge money for them. I have one nice pair on the shelf, and with four cars that take those fenders I have to keep a pair in stock. I already had to replace the left front fender on the Charger convertible once because of an accident.
Do you maybe have the same "little assistance" at speed too, but you don't notice because the car is moving and the steering is naturally lighter?

Of many Mopar parts that are/have become "unobtainable"... this is one near the top of the list. I know someone who is modifying a 68/69 fender into a 70 design. Unfortunately, no one is going to give away a fender under top dollar.
This isn't a rotary engine like a Wankel though. This is a conventional piston engine but with a different head arrangement to do away with the camshaft and poppet/mushroom valves.

Yes, those areas have complicated stamped shapes too, I'm a little dubious about making patch panels for it. If I didn't see so many bad reviews for the fiberglass trunk lid I might go that way, but I don't think I've seen a single good review for the guy who makes the fiberglass trunk lids.
