Yes, I've seen some with huge hours but low mileage. Seen some with 90K miles, yet 10,000 hours. As a comparison our shop service trucks
with mostly local driving have similar miles but closer to 3000 hours run time.
Cool trucks.
The stripes on the yellow one were painted on by the selling dealer. Original owner family. The stacks, taillights, front emblem were added later.
The original owner of my GTX ran a dealership that sold many Hemi cars. Back in the day, I found it interesting that he didn't set his personal ride up for high performance. The GTX was used as a tow vehicle, so he removed the factory high performance cam, and replaced it with a station wagon...
Shimming the relief valve spring only increases the bypass pressure. It has to reach or exceed the rated psi first, which, going by the op's specs is nowhere near that.
I think you would be happy with the Firm Feel set-up. They copied the factory mounting method from the E body. I have heard some whining about drilling holes in the frame rail but it does not weaken anything since the self tapping bolt fills the hole completely. IMO, it is the hands down winner...
So we are talking about high output horsepower. I’m not sure what hp a Pro Stocker generates.
I was trying to figure exactly where they did file the groove/chamfer. There seems to be a few different ways. The pictures are a bit vague.
File across top back edge?
Just the top back edge?
So...
I only know one person who bought one from work. He was not a mechanic, so he had to have it serviced and it always seemed to be in the shop. Realize that a lot of these cars idle quite a bit, so mileage is not exactly indicative of engine time. Even so, they are cool!
Ok, mine are bolts so they are not original. They also appear to be shorter than those. The spacers in the middle of mine are only 1-5/8" long. Interesting.
Been half way thinking of getting a ex-police Charger. Looking at 2019 -2020 with the 5.7 and AWD. seeing them in the $18,000 to $21,000 range
with 50-80K miles. Being honest not really sure why, but it won't be an every day driver, maybe call it an advanced all weather/purpose beater?
Anybody...
What oil filter? Start at the oil pump relief valve and spring. Maybe it's an old worn out pump. Maybe the bearing clearances are loose. Put a flat washer in the cap of the relief valve to increase pressure is a quick fix/bandaid.
Does it run good, hitting on all 8 cylinders? If a pushrod...
Having a semi-accurate fuel gauge would be nice - ha!
In addition, being cognizant of gear ratio - some steeper gears are fine for the street and short drives but on a road trip - you will be taking alternate/longer routes and potentially avoiding interstates.
Thanks for those pics. It does look nice and tucked up in there.
Maybe it’s the Hotchkiss bar that doesn’t fit? That one goes under the rear also like the Addco
