Road trips: They highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the car.

I know a guy, he used to live in this..... ....He was fearless. He was the type to jump headfirst into unknown situations and then just find a way to get through them. On his first trip to and from Van Nuys with his "restored" car, he had several breakdowns. The crankshaft pulley FELL OFF...

    Replacing Master Cylinder

I have 66 and 67 b body's. I also would go to the dual reservoir. It's hard to trust any brake parts made today, let alone a single pot.

I don't think a parking brake is a good backup either. It's not a normal response so you lose 2 or 3 seconds or more trying to locate the pedal. And if your brakes do fail and then you only have rear brakes from the parking assembly. Try stopping from 50mph or more with just the parking brake...

Got towed from Auburn years ago. AAA. Fed the driver and thru him a 20. Didn’t have to drive, saved gas.

Tank from Ricks Tanks was about a million dollars. Beautiful craftsmanship. About 21.5 gallons oversized. Perfect fit. Aeromotive Pulse pump with Pulse Width Modulation. Fancy. Failed due to bad lines installed by Ricks. Ended up broke down in Mississippi because it failed. Replaced...

    Replacing Master Cylinder

Unless it is a 100 point trailer queen show car, I would not hesitate to upgrade to a dual master. I had one of them fail on me once. It cost me a complete front end. With body work and paint over 2 grand and that was many years ago. I realize there are many other things that can go wrong but...

Greg, I know not of what you speak... I think this past weekend we saw enough trouble for the next few years... Nothing serious but it slowed our pace some... My advise? Get a good towing plan... And bring friends to keep you amused while waiting for the tow truck... Back in 96 I had...

    Replacing Master Cylinder

Slam that parking brake pedal to the floor. Yours works correct... A Superbird and a Daytona smacked in the past 6 months due to "brake failure". Of course both have dual reservoirs. If you don't check fluid levels or basic functions anything can fail...
