    Disaster, almost

Wow, glad you found it before any damage. Reminds me of a time a co-worker brought his 81 Grand Prix with a BBC in it to the job site for the day on a Friday. He pops the hood and removes air cleaner and threads wing nut back on for us to check it out. He fires it up and revs it several times...

    Edelbrock 1913 ( AVS2 800 )

I went to single 4 bbl on my 472 Hemi 65. Being a street car only the AVS2 800 worked very well. Took away a mid range surge during cruising speeds that was present with the AFB 750 that I had started out with.

440 stock intake; whats the best carb choice .....

Im trying to show you do not know the fundamental principles of carb design (or physics) and application which you demonstrate with alacrity and predictablity ......stick to changing parts mot designing them. If you cannot do or understand the math involved....fine....admit it and move...

    Its running a little rough...

The electric fuel pump is the noisy one. If I can free up a lift this weekend, I'll take a look and see what's going on back there. Between this pump and the DP carb that sits downstream from it, there's likely going to need to be some changes. The Autolites can stay for now. They're working...

    Edelbrock 1913 ( AVS2 800 )

I did change step-up springs, and the air valve was okay, had it jetted fairly accurately on the run in/dyno stand, it was already healthily into the secondary and would then flatten out and pick up again right away, kind of like it was running out fuel but it wasn’t. Had high volume Carter...

    Positive ignition source question.

Mmmm actually I remember have seen this acc being sourced in the batt side of the ammeter on diagrams, straight at the amm stud, but is a puntual power source moment, not a constant sucker. Could I be wrong? Maybe but is just what I remember right now.

    What does your spouse say?

Mary actually seemed disappointed when I bought one of those brake bleeder tanks where a man can do the job without help. She is great.

    Edelbrock 1913 ( AVS2 800 )

Thanks, a change in the step-up spring or an adjustment to the Secondary Air Valve most likely would have eliminated that flat spot. Too late now though lol

These women/Teachers should be Heralded/Lauded as community heroes in my opinion...

SOME people have zero sense of humor or just cannot recognize sarcasm. It is obvious that you have disapproved of this stuff, you’ve chimed in numerous times to restate the same opinion. I get it. WE get it. What you may not understand is that some of us responded with tones of envy, not...
