Old and new....where does the time go?

I know exactly how you feel sir. Bought my first Mopar new in 1978, the year I graduated high school. It wasn’t a Challenger, of course, it was a D150. Owned many new and used Dodge trucks and cars since. I picked up a 93 D150 2 years ago. It isn’t a tin grill, it’s a first gen, which I had...

    Best Porting Bit for Aluminum?

Google Killer Carbide. Raved about by the racers on the A-body side, Pittsburgracer, Newbomb Turk and others. Go over to the a side and search "porting burrs". (I'd copy a paste some info, but I don't know how.) You will see an a-bodies only review by Rat Bastid. Same guy as Newbomb Turk.

Old and new....where does the time go?

Funny thing...I didn't buy the first Challenger new, but the shaker was orange, and didn't appear to have been repainted. Don't know that I've seen another that color. Did some come that way? Rick

    Best Porting Bit for Aluminum?

I have several carbide bits for my 4A 1/4” shank die grinder. One is a very high quality cobalt bit. Neither chew aluminum as they do steel! It looks like some helical designs might be better suited for Aluminum? So what do you guys use to chew aluminum if not these?

    Cars with aftermarket undercoating.

I have read old undercoating sometimes contained asbestos, which is today a third rail in these discussions.

    Cars with aftermarket undercoating.

My Dad rust proofed customers cars. It was a amber clear waxy coating, it was applied inside as much as possible, doors, fenders inside rocker panels etc. One thing they did was drill 1/2" holes to gain additional access, which as kid concerned me, but they would plastic plug any drilled holes...

Old and new....where does the time go?

Just looking through some random pictures.......I'll bet I'm not the only one here who has stuff like this. These pictures are more-or-less fifty years apart. A 1970 440 SixPack Shaker Challenger, and a 2021 ScatPack Shaker Wide body. As well as a 1953 model slim body and a 2024 not so...

    Noisey transmission

Recently purchased a 63 fury. Previous owner installed 413 with A833 4 speed. It has a very noticeable whining or whirring noise with my foot off the clutch in neutral. It goes away when I disengage the clutch. It has a similar only louder noise in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It quiets down in 4th. All...
