HI, looking for some rear gears help

Depending on speed and amount of highway time, generally I would suggest a 3.23 or 3.55, but also matched with a larger diameter tire than what you are running to help keep the high revs down.

    1966 Charger four speed shifter

I once built a phantom 1967 R/T wagon, complete with 440, 4-speed. I adapted an Inland handle to a Hurst shifter to keep a factory look. The T-bar no longer worked, and I put a spring under the shifter knob to keep it from rattling.

The Meme not a Meme Thread Part DEUX

More stable than a milk crate. Not quite as comfortable in a rollover.

    1966 Charger four speed shifter

If the reverse t-ring doesn’t do anything and you vcan get into reverse, you might already have a Hurst with a stock Mopar handle on it. I think it’s Brewer that has sold a number of these as well as some others. Pretty much have to get underneath to see what’s up there. My 66 has a Hurst...

    Our aunt passed away yesterday.

The sentiments you share about your aunt speak volumes about her character. Yet another amazing person graduating into eternity who I'm sure is already greatly missed by many. Thanks for sharing and Lord be with you and your family. RIP Garnet.

    Noisey transmission

Parts are available, either new or good-used. If you buy another transmission you may end up with issues again unless you pay about $2,000-2500 for a professionally rebuilt one. If you are equipped to rebuild it yourself you can probably save at least half of that. These are tough transmissions.

    Let's Debate

In the interest of engineering alternatives, you can bail if you wish. But the chassis we designed requires no roll center adjustment. It's fixed via weight calculations around a roll center that remains constant. The only suspension system that allows for your requested adjustment for roll...

    Re-Rebuilding the 440-493 in a 1970 Charger

Oil pressure is very simple. It's flow volume minus internal leaks minus viscosity. At idle the volume can not be increased by a stiffer spring or shimming the spring unless the by pass is open at idle. Which is not the case at 20psi. The internal leaks can't be changed at this point w/o engine...

    Noisey transmission

That sounds bad. Obviously i will need to take it apart, but If it is a shaft issue should I be looking for another transmission?

Who Likes Black & White Photography?

Yes. And he was a member of the wrecking crew, a group of los Angeles studio musicians, and was on every hit hit song in the 60s. He was already a gifted musician, but all that time in the studio really pushed him into the stratosphere! There will never be another musician like him

Anyone ever changed a Stop Light switch on a 67 Charger?

Also could be a bad turn signal switch. Mine was doing crazy light things with brakes and taillights last season. Put in a new switch and everything works

That orientation normally precludes any adjustability of roll center adjustment, and IMO why its not in favor and likely only seen on rock crawlers? If that is the focus of this debate, I'm out.:steering:

    Noisey transmission

The counter shaft is loaded in 1st, 2nd ,3rd but not 4th. It also spins in neutral with the clutch released. My bet is it has worn counter shaft needle bearings and possibly the shaft or counter gear. Doug

What do you mean by poked from riding too much? The throwout bearing is new as well, with very few miles on it.
