Just installed the electronic ignition in mine. Super easy. I am however going to switch over to pertronix for simplicity and getting rid of some of the wires.

I have a glass hood for my 66 Belvedere and went to the hard ware store and bought 2 or 3 sets of springs and tried the lightest ones first and iirc, they did the trick and took the others back. Yeah, it's a bit complicated but if you look over the pages good you should be able to accomplish it.

Yeah, that seems really low. Since it's all of your cylinders, not just one or 2, I suggest that you check your test equipment (gauge, hose, etc.) and your process just to make sure that is an accurate reading. A couple of years ago, I was chasing my tail, wondering why my vacuum was so low...
