Holley Carb 2300 2BBL Fuel Bowl slowly draining internally!?

Nope... and I believe newer style power valves have blow back protective feature - but I may be getting confused with the accelerator pump!?!?...Anyways, I replaced the Power Valve earlier today and drover it around etc, been parked up for 4 hrs now, and the level is staying constant in the bowl...

PS pump filler neck loose! Weld? Solder? Duct tape??

Likely brazed? Any good repair is going to require taking it apart, and cleaning it up really well before putting flux on it, re-assemble and braze or solder. If you only need a temp fix, maybe clean it up and JB weld it.

Dana 60 Outer Bearing Races "Cracked"

Older style green bearings that don't allow for flexing like the newer versions with the snap ring. Biggest install problem I have seen is when the diff pin is retained, the axles will be just slightly too long. You can tighten the bearings down, but the rollers will be loaded towards the...

Running tapered bearings with rear disc brakes

I did the green bearings when I did the rear disc setup, and found the only reason to use the green bearings is so the axle stick out is consistent on each side. The factory taper bearings could be used. Just have to set the end play, and then shim the caliper brackets correctly for the amount...

    It's a Mopar .... nearly.....

Yes, a 1973. No louvers in the hood. I usually see the louvered hoods on 1974+ I think the six pack (SP) the hood was taller in the center part and had the chrome strip in front like the FF models, but I don't know for sure. A few months ago, I was moving the Jensen out of the garage, and the...

Installing Classic Auto Air in a '70 Charger

Lol, that's exactly right. Sometimes it would be nice to have contacts at NASA, but for now a standard vacuum pump will do.

Running tapered bearings with rear disc brakes

I agree with the fact that calipers should float and that setting the end play towards the lower tolerance would probably work just fine. I already have some Wilwood rear brakes and of course they recommend Green Bearings which I have heard do not have the reliability factor of tapered bearings...

'73 Rallye Instrument Panel Bezel Removal

I’m not clear on what are you doing. The bezel will come out with the cluster. Once on bench you can remove the bezel. Can’t remove just the bezel with cluster still on car. Meaning with this, once you removed Radio and unplugged everything, drop the column, remove screws (there are two hidded...

Installing Classic Auto Air in a '70 Charger

The air/freon is pumped out of of the system, the pump vents to the atmosphere... The oil remains in the system, if you were able to pull 30 in/hg water would boil at 90 degrees below zero... But since NASA didn't loan you their vacuum chamber you can't.. Hopefully you can get somewhere around...

Installing Classic Auto Air in a '70 Charger

I just finished the installation of a Vintage Air system in a 68 Plymouth. Vintage Air installation in a 1968 Satellite Wednesday I am bringing the car to a local shop to do the evacuate and fill. I may have them do the service on this car too but I want to find any leaks I might have before I...

Installing Classic Auto Air in a '70 Charger

I've seen a few videos that also state to leave the red line and knob alone. I planned to put the vacuum pump on and see if it holds the recommended 30 in/hg or whatever the spec is. Thanks, I've heard that too. I am curious though....if the vacuum pump is pulling, where does the air inside...

Installing Classic Auto Air in a '70 Charger

FYI, the reason you put the system in a vacuum is to remove moisture. The vacuum lowers the boiling point of water and the water actually boils off when doing this process.
