I know exactly how you feel sir. Bought my first Mopar new in 1978, the year I graduated high school. It wasn’t a Challenger, of course, it was a D150. Owned many new and used Dodge trucks and cars since. I picked up a 93 D150 2 years ago. It isn’t a tin grill, it’s a first gen, which I had...
Google Killer Carbide.
Raved about by the racers on the A-body side, Pittsburgracer, Newbomb Turk and others.
Go over to the a side and search "porting burrs".
(I'd copy a paste some info, but I don't know how.)
You will see an a-bodies only review by Rat Bastid. Same guy as Newbomb Turk.

Recently purchased a 63 fury. Previous owner installed 413 with A833 4 speed. It has a very noticeable whining or whirring noise with my foot off the clutch in neutral. It goes away when I disengage the clutch. It has a similar only louder noise in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It quiets down in 4th. All...
So sorry for your loss, sir. It’s great having people in our lives who leave their lasting legacy. Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
