i been doing some looking around and thinking on how i can use my poly even tho it has a bobo. it would seem that thay can be stroked and bored alot. like over 400 cubes. if im reading things right just about all the guts from a LA will work in the A block.., so why can't i use a 360 crank...
ok ... im running the 822-16 hydro lifter but thay keep collapsing when running and ya can watch them do it with the cover off ajusting them. if wanted to use a solid lifter yall got any pointers as to what to use that is close to the same size (tall mostly) so i maby be close enuff not to...
took the heads off the 413 and thay are 2406516-7 closed chamber. wasn't exspecting to find them on a 64 413. i always thunk thay were a 361/383 head. am i missing something?
on a happy note ... took the heads off the 68 383 and there 906 heads. sadly has a big hole in a cly so much for that...
ok ... o been getting things together for Carlisle and have found more stuff than i rememberd even having laying around. (no 400 blocks tho)
looking at stuff i got an idea of putting a 413 crank i got in a 383 block. i have been looking and found that diamond makes slugs for this using 440...
im haveing one hell of a time finding gasgets for this 69 slant 6 im working on here ... anyone got a part number or have a engine set laying around i could buy that ain't all shrunk up? felpro .. mr gasget ...... sealed power all show numbers but ain't no parts on the shelf
put a 4.56 742 sure grip in my 66 B body ... it a fun set of gears but its way to low ... anyone wana swap for a 3.90 ???? im in central PA bedford co.
