Like so many the tabs on the defroster vents were broken and when super glue and JB Weld didn’t do the trick I tried this. Cut some tabs from a piece of 22ga sheet metal, drilled and riveted in place. Not perfect but didn’t come out too bad. A little trim black paint and they work fine.
Yes I...
I just picked up 4 14x5.5 wheels. Nice condition but will need to be restored.
Date codes are: 9 11 20, 2 6 5, 9 10 20 and 6 5 24.
It's the 6 5 24 that has me confused.
My understanding is these wheels were manufactured between 68-74. If so, what is the '6' date code. It's supposed to be the...
I know it's been said before here on FBBO but kudos to Bruce Somer (member here ns1aar) and his talents in restoring wiper motors. Just got mine back and it's perfect. His personal attention - phone calls - was assuring. He's not cheap but boy is he good and worth every penny.
After 30+ years I finally have enough time and money (sort of) to rebuild my '66 Belvedere. Gone from yellow to turquoise. Solid Florida A/C car with the normal rust - quarters. Stroked the 318 (thanks to Gary Pavlovich) and found a cast iron 4 brl intake and WCFM carb.
Question is, behind the...
I've removed all the anodizing, fixed all the dings and scratches and polished the headlight bezels, side trim and trunk trim pieces. I'd like to add back the argent silver and black striping. Aside from the obvious - tape off, paint... tape off, paint - is there an easier way to repaint/restore...
After weeks of searching for answers about the part numbers and applications of the MOPAR Heater/AC controller, I've learned there are no definitive answers and that those who have the controller for sale, part# 2587564, believe they are holding gold in their hands. I understand the scarcity of...
A recent media blast has confirmed my fears and shown all the damage to the doors of my 66 Belvedere II, 2 dr HT. They are repairable but I would prefer to replace them. So, I'm in need of 2 door shells or skins. No hardware, vent window or trim in needed. If you have one or more or know where I...
I'm rebuilding a 66 Belvedere and need to replace ALL the weatherstripping, window felts, windshield and rear glass, doors, trunk, etc, etc.
Any suggestions on the best place to buy what I need.
Thanks
I'm building a 66 Plymouth 318 Poly and looking for a 4brl intake manifold, preferably with the carb.
Cast iron or aftermarket alum. I'd appreciate any info on where to look or whom to call.
Also, are headers available?
I'm currently restoring my 66 Belvedere II and need some advice on where I can get some body panels and ALL the weatherstripping. I just need a RH lower quarter patch panel and the panel that goes between the taillights that tucks in beneath the rear bumper (plz see pic). There are so many...
