    Steering Coupler Question

So on a 67 B Body ( GTX), I need a steering coupler as the gear has the one fat spline but the coupler that was beat in place did not. I noticed Tony’s Parts is selling a new repop but states it is power steering only. Is that spline the only difference or is there something else?

Best way to remove lower control arm bushing

I finally had the opportunity to try this method that I found here on the forum probably a year ago. Replacing the lower control arm bushings without damaging anything. Steering gear question

So I took my first significant drive with the 67 Coronet RT that I’m completing. Logged about 150 miles on it round trip. Biggest complaint I have is with the steering gear. It is a remanufactured Cardone product. It has about 50/60 degrees off free play with the engine off. I’ve been told this...

    Question on strut rod bushings

Reassembling the front suspension on the 67 Coronet. The strut rod bushing that clamps the k frame, is there a metal sleeve that I’m missing that acts as a positive stop? If so I don’t have them. I would have thought they come with the new bushing but no. So I don’t know if I need something or...

    Question on power steering brackets

Working on a 67 Imperial at the shop. Noticed the power steering pump really vibrates if I raise the rpm. Took it off today, one of the two brackets is cracked. It has a generic bolt being used in the lower pivot location and I was told it is missing a rubber bumper between the brackets. My...

    Brake pedal question

On my 67 GTX the stop lights stay on. It seems the knuckle on the master cylinder push rod just barely touches the switch when pedal is not applied. There seems to be a lot of free play in the pedal. I can place my foot underneath the pedal and lift it a good inch. Manual drum brakes by the way...
