I fear going 3.90 will make her rev to high on the highways and won't like it.

now round 2200 rpm @60 with 3.55

my slant six is mount with adapter plate to 700r4 , the convertor i have now is rated 2200 stall. spoke with them and suggested 2800 -3200 stall. im 355 geared in the back posi
just missing a bit to light up the tires . so want go up in stall...

been looking for a year for spare slant six.
found one and got 550 canadain its all there and im selling the intake to a member so
everybody happy. it was driven in the winter , it has a coolant block heater .
I bought a wilcap adapter to fit a gm 700r4 overdive on my b body ( I bought from a guy on C.List who didn't want it) so I called up wilcap and spoke with the guy he said they make the kit and you need to fit it, so I cut the floor pan a bit .
so I followed the instructions to install it . and...
great video demonstrating the importance of drive shaft angles when doing diff or tranny swaps. and you can down load the tremec app for measuring angles very useful tool
I'm trying to find what motor mounts came with my b body belvedere slant six
what is on there now are (2) 2806476 , em2277
when i look it up the mount that is shown is not the proper one (summit)
and the engine in the hole with the mounts on the crossmember the tranny is pointing toward the rear...
just set up my rear end it s a 8 .25 from diplomat .
I needed a little more at the bottom so swap it out to 355
I will finish her up tomorrow cant wait to try it out
I have the chance to buy a wilco kit for 400$ ,so i could bolt on a overdrive gm tranny
does anybody know if i have to modify the body (tunnel) to make it fit

I m glad I found a forged crank from a later year slant six for 50$ . the machine shop is turning it down. now will be able to put my high stall torque converter with lock up
should be getting the crank back tomorrow

in my belvedere i have my 225 slant six running a dodge diplomat rear end with 2.94 gears
im thinking of gear change and the 3.55 gears look great option , or do i go 3.73
