1969 Dodge Super Bee w/ factory air…
See pic….Is there a flex duct that goes between these in the middle ac vent (Rallye dash)? If so where could I source?
I have new duct for the end vents, could buy online. Have not seen what would bridge the gap here. TIA.
On waiting list (supposedly) to have original compressor on my 69 Bee restored, but doubt they will get to it. Original Air and they restored my Heater AC box nicely, but in my experience their communication has become less than acceptable. Any recommendations for other shops?
I am not far away from installing my heater / ac box that was restored (well over a year ago now). Controls and other parts restored as will. Problem is, while I marked each one when I removed it the marks disappeared during the restoration (not by me, professionally done with new heater core...
69 B Body with AC (Super Bee). Anyone make replacement parts or use something flexible for this? I can repair but prefer to replace the fabric etc if possible. I also need or will have to fabricate the j bolts that hold it to the cowling.
Dumb question I know, but all of this was out of my 69 Bee when I purchased it Original air rebuilt the heat/ac box some time back, and I have been sourcing other parts, having the vacuum switch rebuilt etc. All is vacuum operated but for the life of me I don't know where that vacuum comes...
This is on my 69 Bee undergoing restoration, factory AC. I have made some posts before. Joe Hudacek rebuilt my valve. Since I did not have the tube and the sensor that screws into the box, he put a fitting on the valve for me to splice a tube into. I located a tube with sensor (if that is...
A lot of parts were missing on my 69 Super Bee (4 speed factory air). Bit by bit I am getting everything sourced, restored or repaired.
Dumb question but I would assume there should be a vacuum canister? And if so where is it located, what is it hooked to hose wise etc. ? A pic would be...
For my 69B under restoration with factory air...the previous owner had painted the bracket that holds the ac compressor a glossy black. What is the closest to factory? Satin, semi gloss black?
TIA
I am in the process of restoring the AC vents. The middle vent is plastic, haven’t gotten to that one other than disassemble. The end ones made of aluminum I am restoring now, and have the paint stripped.
Questions:
What paint and finish, looks almost textured.
The knob at the bottom circled...
Finally got paint stripped off, someone in the past had put several coats of flat black. Now the Pentastar and part numbers are visible on each piece. A little more prep and prime and will be ready to paint then re-assemble. What is the best paint to use and is it satin, semi-gloss, etc? I...
For my 69 Bee under restoration....Had the Heater A/C Box rebuilt, Joe Hudacek rebuilt my water valve (highly recommend) and left the capillary tube where I could splice (crimp) it together. Problem is, I don't have the rest of the tube nor do I know where the other end attaches. I need an...
I have the "stickers" that go on these but honestly they look a bit cheap. I do recall seeing new replacement buttons/sliders some months back but for the life of me cannot find them now. Anyone run across these?
See pics attached. On the large duct, mine is split and needs repair. I suppose I could use duct tape but has anyone repaired these and what / where did you source?
On the smaller plastic duct that attaches to the AC vent in the dash, does the other end attach directly to the Heater AC box...
Rebuilding the heater / ac box. (69 Dodge Super Bee). All was very rusty. The three actuators move (I can clean the rust) and seem to hold vacuum, but move very slowly. I can't find replacements so if you have a source please let me know. How could / should I go about making these work like...
Rebuilding the heater / ac box in my 69 Super Bee, factory AC
Have sand blasted and ready for primer / paint.
Would I be correct to assume black semi gloss?
I am rebuilding my heater ac box on my 69 Super Bee. It is in a million pieces but I also have a million pics. I have purchased the kit from Detroit Muscle, etc.
My questions:
1) Heater core and A/C condenser look rough, replace or rebuild and where? Pics attached
2) Vacuum actuators -...
69B Factory air 4 speed - bench seat. I had previously posted about rebuilding the heater a/c box. I have ordered the kit and have those dollars invested already. Someone (non mopar) recommended I check with Vintage Air. They have a system that appears complete for $1,500. On mine, I still...
