    73/74 rear bumper filler

I bought the (over $200 after shipping) ebay corners- https://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-74-Plymouth-Road-Runner-Satellite-Rear-BUMPER-FILLER-Pair-New-Reproduction/143601187315 My center was in tact and flexible, so I painted it as close as I could get and am happy. I read that another member (...

    Machine gun tip hangers

Could only find one pic using search- thanks @idrivemopar But t looks like the place to mount the hangers isn't being used in that pic. Looks like the frame rail has places to insert 2 clip nuts. Is that not where the hanger goes? Anyone have a pic of the hanger? I have a pair of tips I've...

Wind noise- pass side back of dash

The last time my 73 Satellite was on the road, I had a minor issue with wind noise when the pass side window was partially down. It sounded like air moving over a fan, causing it to spin, and the fan had a bad bearing. You know the sound. Roll the window all the way up or down and it went away...

More help - 73 under hood details

Thanks for everyone that helped with my battery bolt issue. Now I have some wires that I'm not sure where they go. Black with a round connector, which I think might be the brake valve switch, but it doesn't really want to stay on. Then brown with a "standard" connector, and twin black with...

    So.....about THIS car.....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/381977278597?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT IMO, this is one somewhat radical build that doesn't bother me. Despite all the body alterations, look what they didn't mess with too much- The paint job. True, it's 70/71 HIP paint on a 73, and...

    73 battery tray bolts

So I thought I had these tagged. I had my bolts stuck in a piece of cardboard and labeled. 5/16-18 and look just like fender bolts and hood hinge bolts. I can't find the three speed nuts that clip into the inner fender. I did find three speed nuts in the same area I had the bolts stored...

Need pic of 73 pass side brake line routing

I'm working with new SS lines. Factory PDB. I got the driver side on OK, but still needs a little fine tuning. The pass side seems too long, and I'm not real clear on where it's supposed to come up from the K frame to the inner fender and then the firewall. I thought I'd seen pics on here...

Shifter mount location- 71-74 bench seat four speed?

Putting this under 71-74 instead of driveline because it's 71-74 specific. Looking for someone to tell me if my shifter mount is correct. I was under the assumption that the rear mount location was used for this, however the bolt pattern is different between the front location and the...

BB torsion bar part numbers please?

After a cursory search... I'm looking for big block 73 and up torsion bars. Were there different sizes between say a 400 SSP and a 440 RR/GTX? ...or for that matter a 400 Cordoba... Anyone got part numbers? Thanks.

While we're talking K frames BB and SB different?

I've heard 73 and up K frames are different due to an inch or so front to back to help with F/R weight distribution. Schumacher (motor mounts) says they are the same. But...Schumacher also wants you to trim the top inch off the pass side boss if putting a BB in an SB K. If they're the...

Are all 73 K frames supposed to have sway bar mounts?

Apparently mine does not. It Has aftermarket sway bars but I don't see any evidence of the mounts being hacked off. If anything there are hack marks on the outside of the fenders in that area. Pics would be nice, either way.

Cadmium plating - best simulated paint.

Anyone used the spray can cad plate? I'd love to see examples of the different ones available. My 73 brake booster is out and nasty looking. IIRC the 74 was gray. I suppose I could go that way, but if there's a nice simulated "cad in a can" that isn't too expensive...

Interesting "K frame off" paint and body job sequence- http://www.macikspaintinplace.com/Sitepages/1973RoadRunner/1973RoadRunnerPolaroid1.html Die cast announcement- (doesn't say what scale, but looks smaller than 18th or 24/25th)...

Any body done 73 upper control arm bushings?

I was looking at my UCA bushings ...thought I was gonna get away with just LBJs, but the UCBs will need done soon. Looks like a royal PITA to try to press that shaft in both directions. IIRC some sources say FSM says replace as an assembly. Would that include the entire UCA?

    Another radio question- cassette input

Do all the am/fm stereo circuit boards have a mounting pad for the cassette input? If so, it should be relatively easy to add a 1/8" jack for aux, right? How did they select the cassette as the input?
