1966 Dodge Charger

383 Dodge Charger with a bit of work to be done.

About this Mopar:

Originally white with red interior? Later painted blue then red.

Car has had a 383 installed over the original 361

Everything from the engine bay to the dash has been rewired and or painted over. Bringing back the factory wiring is top priority once tuned up abd brakes fixed.

The 727 has been rebuild ( I am told ).

8 3/4 rear but I've not yet checked the ratio.

Lots of work to be done! But we're exceited to get going

The dash and radio light up, car has been started up. No real issues after completing the rewire.

Radio doesn't work however nor does the tach, but need to investigate

The headlight motors did workout, fully functional, made new switches, had to modify the bracket to fit a slightly smaller switch - couldnt source originals.

Nice find Vinny! The '66 Chargers are beautiful cars. This one is a true veteran that just hasn't had enough TLC lately. Hope you're able to give some much deserved glory days back to her. Best of luck to you!

Thank you guys!
Definatly needing tlc but it will get it here
This charger has a long road ahead but ill have to post some updates as it goes

Nice car. Too bad they removed one of the very best attributes of the 66-67 Charger: the dash with electroluminesence lighting
Yes i know, and rewired the car to boot.. but i have a decent dash and harnesses. Trying to learn what i can about it. We'll get it back

White has a lot going for it if that's what the intent it.
Hats off to you for tackling the wiring and cluster on one of these cars.

Thanks alot, white would be my preferred color - Either white or black but a nice white would look great. The wiring is defiantly a pain
