About this Mopar:
Here is my '65 Coronet hardtop running a built 383/727 and posi.
Not sure about engine spec but it's lumpy and has ally heads and was apparently built by R&R Speed Shop in Huntsville, AL. Trans and convertor by PTC in Muscle Shoals,AL.
New parts by previous owner include rear springs and shocks, gas tank, ally rad, front disc brakes, power steering pump, Hurst Quarter Stick, Hedmann headers, GM HEI ignition.
The car rather handily came without any rear brakes so I've sorted those out and the e-brake cables. The horn ring and trunk badge went missing in transit to the UK and these have been replaced.
I've sourced several new and used parts from Charlie Quarters in the US including most of the seals, the trunk badge, seat belts, heater parts, hoses, sunvisor rods, drivers door mirror, wipers and other bits and bobs. I can't praise Charlie highly enough for his help and advice.
You can see from the photos that the wiring needs sorting and I've just pulled stripped all of it out and will rewire with the battery in the trunk, a remote starter solenoid, additional power posts for easy power distribution, relays for headlights and electric fan, ammeter bypass and amended alternator ouput wiring. I did the same to my convertible and it works great.
I also currently have the steering box out awaiting a reman unit as the 4" of play was rather too interesting for me. Not an easy job removing that. I'm going to change the dual fuel line because I don't like the join to the hose being directly over the distributor.
I'm also going to sort out the heater box, valve and controls as it's currently bypassed and the valve looks like the culprit.
