1964 Dodge Polara
About this Mopar:
Well, my 64 Polara 426W (+0.060) is on the street. Not legally yet, but on it anyway. Its not perfect, but I'm not out to impress anyone but me. I built this car from a rough start and have all the photos to prove it. It is resurrected. Most everything works too.
The engine runs great with no overheating issues. Oil pressure abounds. Volts are good. Push button Cope trans shift beautifully and firm. My home made downshift rod works great. 3.91 Sure-grip feels tight. Fist photo is first car wash. Didn't get anywhere near opened up but it is going to be a real strong runner. I know what I expect in the 1320, but until the light turns green we won't kn ow for sure. Got insurance today, get my 64 plates registered tomorrow. The off to the muffler shop to get some pipes made. It is a wee-bit loud right now with open headers.
